Dix (dx) is a unit of time equal to 6 minutes, 360 seconds, or 1⁄10 of an hour. The term comes from the shortened form of dixième, French word for tenth and is the protographic neighbor of six. The unit can be used instead of minutes to determine how long some activities or events last in that scale, such as driving to destinations.
